ABOUT SCOTT SCHAUER
Scott Schauer is a long-standing resident and active community member of Santa Clarita with a profound dedication to service and business leadership. With nearly five decades of business experience and extensive involvement in nonprofit organizations, Scott is uniquely equipped to serve as a Trustee, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the community's needs.
Scott has been honored as the College of the Canyons Outstanding Student Senate Member (1977-1978), one of the 51 most influential business leaders in Santa Clarita (2017), and the Supporter of the Year for The Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer (2015).
Scott is the owner of Santa Clarita Soccer Center, a position he has held since 1994. His entrepreneurial journey began much earlier with the establishment of the Premier Produce Company (1989-1992) and involvement in the wholesale food distribution business. Additionally, Scott has been a proud member of Sag-Aftra since 1992, reflecting his diverse professional interests and commitment to excellence in various fields.
Scott’s commitment to community service is evidenced by his extensive volunteer work. He currently serves as the President of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Foundation (2024) and has been on its Board of Directors since 2018. His involvement with the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer includes roles as a Board Member (2002-2006, 2009-2011), Executive Director (2006-2009), and Gala Chair (2018). Scott has also served on the College of the Canyons Foundation Board (2007-2012) and the Santa Clarita Youth Project Board (2010-2012). Currently, he is the President of the Avignon HOA (2022-present).
Scott graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1975 and attended the College of the Canyons from 1977 to 1978, where he also served as the Student Body Vice President. His early start in business during his college years laid the foundation for a successful career. Scott is a proud father to his son, Ryan Schauer, a General Contractor living in Sierra Madre with his wife, Ashlee, and their two children, Saige (13) and Cameron (8).
Scott's deep-rooted connections within the community, coupled with his extensive business and nonprofit experience, set him apart from his opponents. His direct and ethical communication style, along with his ability to relate to the people of Santa Clarita, will be a significant asset to the Board of Trustees.
